Webcast: Choosing the Right Infrastructure Architecture for Your VMware Horizon Deployment

Choosing the Right Infrastructure Architecture for Your VMware Horizon Deployment

Topic: VDI has entered a new phase. More and more organizations are adopting Windows 10 and using the opportunity to move to virtual desktop and virtual application delivery. But what is the best architecture for your use case? Converged infrastructure or hyperconverged infrastructure? How do you decide what is the right solution for your business and how do you configure your environment so you can deliver the best user experience? We will explore various infrastructure options available for VMware Horizon deployments of different sizes. We will look at tested configurations for a few hundred users as well as thousands of users and also explore how you can add graphics acceleration to improve user experience.

Webcast: Real-world Deployment of Server-side Caching; A Conversation with Infinio Customer Pillsbury Law

Real-world Deployment of Server-side Caching; A Conversation with Infinio Customer Pillsbury Law

Topic: Infinio Accelerator is a software-based server-side cache that provides high performance to any storage system in a VMware environment. It delivers 80 microsecond (0.08ms) response time to applications by caching a copy of the hottest data on server-side resources such as RAM, SSDs, and flash devices. Results can be seen instantly following a non-disruptive, 15-minute installation that doesn’t require any downtime, data migration, or reboots. We’ve invited David Comer to join us. David is a Senior Network Engineer at Pillsbury Law, an Am 200 law firm 100% virtualized on VMware. Pillsbury runs a sophisticated IT organization, with two datacenters across the country from each other, 20 remote offices, and a range of HP and NetApp hardware. David will share his experiences trialing, piloting, and implementing Infinio, including performance results and the applications he has found to be most responsive to the cache.

You’ll hear directly from David:

- How Pillsbury Law chose Infinio

- What benefits they are seeing on their storage

- What Infinio delivers to their VDI, SQL, and vROPS implementations

- What their plans are for the future. Don’t miss this opportunity to hear directly from one of your VMUG peers about this innovative technology.

Speakers: David Comer, Senior Network Engineer, Pillsbury Law

Sheryl Koenigsberg, Product Marketing, Infinio
