Each VMUG leader is a volunteer responsible for coordinating the activities of the local VMUG community and acting as the primary point of contact on behalf of the group. The leader of the user group must be a VMUG member and a user or partner that serves in technical role at his/her company. VMware employees are resources for Leadership teams and may serve on a local Steering Committee. Leaders are expected to hold quarterly meetings/events for their local VMUG membership.
Please read through the Local VMUG Leader and Program Guidelines for a basic understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in being a leader, as well as the resources available. Resources and perks for active leaders include a Leader Welcome Package, complimentary VMUG Advantage Membership and access to VMUG leader activities. If you are ready to become a VMUG leader for an existing VMUG Local Community, please complete the interest form below.
