Keynote Speaker: Chris Wolf

Chris leads the Advanced Technology Group in the VMware Office of the CTO. The Advanced Technology Group focuses on impactful near-term co-innovation through better alignment and collaboration with VMware R&D product teams, customers and technology partners, startups, and newly acquired companies. The Advanced Technology Group incubates emerging technologies with the goal of building differentiated solutions that align to one- to three-year market needs.

Prior to joining VMware, Chris was a Research Vice President for Gartner’s Technical Professionals service, where he managed the data center and private cloud research agenda. Before that, Chris was a founding member of the Data Center Strategies team at Burton Group, an independent virtualization consultant, and had stops at multiple colleges and at CommVault Systems along the way. Wolf’s IT and technology journey began in the US Marines.

Wolf holds a Master of Science degree in Information Technology from the Rochester Institute of Technology and has authored several technology books.

Kendrick Coleman

Kendrick Coleman is a reformed sysadmin and virtualization junkie. His attention has shifted from hypervisors to cloud native platforms focused on containers. In his role as a Sr. Technical Marketing Manager, he figures out new and interesting ways to integrate open source cloud native infrastructure tools with VMware Tanzu products. He's involved with the Kubernetes SIG community and frequently blogs about all the things he's learning. He has been a speaker at DockerCon, OpenSource Summit, ContainerCon, CloudNativeCon, VMworld and many more. His free time is spent sharing bourbon industry knowledge hosting the Bourbon Pursuit podcast. Kendrick tweets over at @kendrickcoleman Kendrick Coleman is a reformed virtualization junkie. Heath Johnson

Heath Johnson is a Sr. Technical Marketing Manager working for the Hyper-Converged Infrastructure business unit at VMware. Heath has been working with VMware products since ESX 2. Before joining VMware, Heath lead enterprise infrastructure teams and designed, built, and operated IT infrastructures for large medical centers and a wireless telecom service provider. Jeremiah Megie

Jeremiah Megie is a Senior Technical Marketing Architect working for VMware. He is responsible for providing education, evangelism, content generation, and other technical marketing activities for VMware Cloud on AWS. Prior to joining VMware, Jeremiah was a Senior Solutions Architect specializing in the design and implementation of vSphere, Converged & Hyper-converged infrastructure, and disaster recovery with VMware Site Recovery Manager. He has 20 years of experience in the IT field where he has held many data center and virtualization based roles ranging from administration and engineering to architecture and leadership; with a background spanning multiple industries including DoD, financial, energy, professional services, and managed services. Jeremiah currently holds numerous certifications including multiple VCPs, VCAP-DCA, VCAP-DCD, and VCIX as well as the VMware vExpert designation. He can also be found on Twitter at @vMegie.

Jodi Shely

Jodi Shely has over 18 years in IT experience and have been working with ESXi since 2006. I served as an Omaha VMUG Leader for 4 years and was on the Inaugural VMUG Board of Directors for 2 years. I've been a member of the vExpert Program for 9 years now, and still a strong advocate and evangelize at all VMUG’s and Regional VMUG’s actively. My current position is a Principal Technical Account Manager-Office of the CTO Global Field. I've been with VMware for over 7 years where I have learned so much and continue to love my job. In addition, internally I play a role on a few different work streams, including the Ambassador Advisory Board, Co-lead Office of the CTO Global Field Communications Workstream, CTOA Program VMUG team, and participate as a Field Principal Mentor.
