is the Sr. Product Line Marketing Manager at the Cloud Management Business Unit group at VMware. His primary focus is on analysis of vendors in the Cloud Management and Performance Monitoring spaces. With over 20 years’ experience in technology, Thomas has a broad-based background including holding key industry certifications & recognitions from VMware, Microsoft and Citrix. He has been recognized multiple times by VMware as a vExpert. In his spare time, he runs a soccer program with 1,200 children and running STEM projects with local youth.

So what is next for you? Thomas will be sharing a perspective on career progression.

Many of us in IT wonder what is next for our careers. If you are frontline support, architects, PSO, working for vendors, etc... We all have an idea of what our career should be, but sometimes that works out or not. During this talk, I will highlight some of the things that worked and didn't work for me and colleagues to move forward in our careers. At times, it can be certifications, professional development and new skills, and sometimes it can just be putting yourself out there! We will talk about tools of the trade, ideas to move forward, mentoring options and more.
